Let’s talk skin.
I’ll be honest; I hate talking about skincare. I’m no guru by any means, and as far as beauty products are concerned, I don’t spend a lot of time researching or testing out skincare products. Quite frankly, it’s always been a bit of a snooze for me. If I get my makeup off, wash my face and moisturize, the job is done.
I’ve also been terribly neglecting going to the dermatologist, but that’s a story for another time.
I’m not the best at practicing what I preach. I’ve made progress in removing my makeup every evening, but that’s about it. Before primer, creams or powder, skin is your true foundation. It’s important to take care of it and treat it well, and it makes a world of difference in makeup application and appearance. Hell, having better skin might encourage me to reach for the BB cream instead of the full-coverage foundation every once in a while.
I’ve made some recent discoveries that have changed my skincare routine, if we can call it that, and if you suffer from horrifically dry skin or get an uber tight face after washing, this post might be right up your alley.
